Dressings, first-aid material and mobility aids are badly needed in Ukraine, and here they often sit in a cupboard until they expire. What we accept travels on our next transport to hospitals and emergency services there.
What we can use
- Dressings, plasters, bandages, sterile gauze, tourniquets
- First-aid kits and their contents
- Mobility aids: wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, stretchers, portable blood-pressure monitors
- Gloves, face masks, disinfectant
- Unused stock from a practice or a company first-aid supply
Two firm conditions
The packaging must be unopened, and there must be a use-by date on it that has not passed. Without a date we are not allowed to take it across the border, however good it looks.
We cannot accept medicines
We are not allowed to transport medicines — not even unopened, not even on prescription. That is for pharmacies and licensed organisations. If you have medicines or a whole practice stock, email more@aidtoukraine.nl and we will see whether we can point you somewhere else.
Stichting Aid to Ukraine is a Dutch public benefit organisation (ANBI, RSIN 866916556), so a gift may be tax-deductible in the Netherlands. Ask us for a receipt if you need one.
