A laptop rotation, a new server room or a network refresh leaves equipment behind that is written off here but works perfectly well. In Ukraine, aid organisations use it to restore their communications.
Where we still debate whether to run our own IT, there that is not a question. If you cannot do it yourself, you cannot improvise when something breaks. And things break there regularly.
What we can use
- laptops and desktops, up to roughly ten years old
- monitors, keyboards, mice
- servers, switches, routers, access points
- phones and tablets
- cables, power supplies and generators
- all sorts of other equipment. Get in touch if you are not sure
Working is preferable, but parts are welcome too. If we cannot place something, we will say so honestly.
And your data
Wipe the drives yourself before handing the equipment over, or let us know it still needs doing and we will agree on how. We take nothing away without clear arrangements.
What you get in return
Aid to Ukraine is a registered Dutch charity (ANBI). The value of donations is deductible within the tax rules. The RSIN number is 866916558.
You also save the cost of disposal and processing, and the equipment gets a second life instead of a shredder.
